About this edition
The Art Tattoo Bolivia Convention is scheduled for November 27 to 29, 2026, at the Campo Ferial La Paz Chuquiago Marka in La Paz, Bolivia. This annual gathering offers a premier platform for tattoo artistry and cultural exchange, drawing participants from across the globe. The convention's origins trace back to 2012, conceived by Bolivian artist Gunnar Quispe. Hailing from Potosí, Quispe honed his painting skills at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA) before specializing in tattoo techniques in Europe. His vision was to promote Bolivian artists internationally, fostering a reciprocal flow of art and culture. The event's mission includes facilitating new knowledge through workshops, art auctions, and direct interaction with acclaimed international artists, thereby opening doors for learning and showcasing Bolivian talent worldwide. The inaugural convention took place at the John Wesley event hall in El Prado, La Paz, welcoming prominent artists from countries such as Canada, the United States, Costa Rica, Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia. Celebrated as the "highest convention in the world," this distinction refers both to La Paz's elevation of 3,600 meters above sea level and the event's unique stature as a high-quality artistic assembly within such an elevated capital. Attendees can experience the convention on Friday, November 27, from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM; Saturday, November 28, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM; and Sunday, November 29, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
