About this edition
The International Tattoo Convention Bucharest, after thirteen successful annual editions, is set to transition into a new phase of its evolution, relaunching as INKORA – Live Tattoo Art & Music Festival 2026. This rebranding signifies a natural progression for a project that has developed consistently under the stewardship of the Tattoo & Piercing Romania Association. Over time, this event has achieved a distinguished professional standard and garnered significant international recognition, establishing itself as a key benchmark for the tattoo industry across Eastern Europe and further afield. This festival remains an initiative fundamentally conceived, developed, and sustained by the association, reflecting the direct expression of their vision and expertise accumulated over more than a decade of organization. The crucial difference is that the project has now reached a level of maturity enabling it to express itself in a more extensive and complex format. As the event progressed, its structure expanded beyond the confines of a traditional convention. While tattooing remains its central focus, it has organically integrated essential elements that define the current experience: live music, performance art, visual arts, and urban culture. The audience has consequently diversified, with interest broadening beyond the strictly professional sphere. The shift to the INKORA name does not denote a break with its established identity; instead, it acknowledges this significant maturation. It represents a natural step for a project that has grown and consolidated, now extending its dialogue to a wider and more diverse public. INKORA is envisioned as a comprehensive and multifaceted festival, where the art of tattooing engages synergistically with music and contemporary artistic expression, all while upholding the professional standards and international acclaim that have characterized the event in recent years.
